This activity will help to create a map of an area near your home or any other place. This activity may be difficult for young kids, but you may adapt it by making the map simpler.

Pick an area near your home.

Take out the paper and something to write/draw with.

Begin to draw the area. Start with the biggest parts, like lakes, trees, and buildings, then move to the details. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Add color if you want.
