Mission
The goal of my Silver Award was originally to give elementary age and younger kids ways to learn and experience the natural world from the comfort and safety of their own home, with minimal supervision and cost. Too many kids don’t have access to the great outdoors or don’t have adults that are comfortable or able to help them explore. My goal was to help kids and caregivers that have to prioritize things other than outdoor playtime without losing all of its physical and emotional benefits.
How to Use This Website

- Check the details: Under the skill’s name, you will see:
- Cost: How much money you might need to buy the materials you don’t have.
- Time: How long it will take.
- Supplies: What materials you need.
- Adult Help: If you need a grown-up to help you.
- Badges: Girl Scout badges you can earn with this activity.
