This activity will have kids make a game that involves recognizing and naming several animals of their choice, and playing it somewhat similarly to charades. They will need to be able to recognize basic animals.

First, cut your paper into 6 equal pieces, or take out 6 pieces of cardstock.

With a pencil, draw one of your favorite animals on all of the pieces of paper.

Add color to the animal drawings however you want.

Label the animal on each card clearly on the back side.
This may be done by an adult if the child cannot yet write.
Play the game by putting the cards face down and having one person pick a card at a time. Don’t let the other person see your card!

Act out the animal on the card using motions or sounds, but not words.

Now do it with things you can see from you window!
Have one person pick something and act it out while the other person guesses.
