This activity has kids look for animals (or bugs) and find the shapes in their bodies. It requires them to be able to recognize simple shapes (ex., circle, square, triangle).
Go to a place where you can see some animals, or if you can’t, find one in a book.
Look at an animal of your choice.
Try to find shapes in it.
What does it have in common with other animals?
How many different shapes can you find?
Repeat with as many animals as you want!
